CBD in skincare – uses and benefits

Ten years ago, we could not hear so much of CBD. Over the past few years, people have started to learn about this natural compound and all the benefits that it has. CBD has come into many industries on the big door and now more and more people are starting to understand its amazingness.

Among many industries, we can also see CBD’s big breakthrough in skincare. We are one of those skincare brands that found CBD to be amazingly effective and decided to incorporate it into our skincare formula. So, let’s talk about all these benefits and uses of CBD.

What does CBD stand for?

CBD stands for cannabidiol (C21H30O2), an active compound of cannabis, derived from the marijuana plant. CBD is one of 113 components found in cannabis, derived from hemp, and it is widely used in the medical industry. Cannabidiol is not an illegal drug, nor it has any stimulant, depressant, or hallucinogenic properties.

CBD industry is growing daily producing many different CBD products ready for use with all kinds of amazing benefits. The best-known CBD product is CBD oil. CBD oil is used for relieving pain, anxiety, aches, stress levels, etc. It is widely used among cancer patients.

CBD in skincare acts on many different levels bringing some great skincare properties.

CBD in skincare

CBD in skincare is used by adding it to different skincare products. These products can be of all sorts – from soaps, moisturizers, creams to skincare formulas likes Skineez’s that are put in clothes.

There is no best way to use CBD in skincare. CBD oil can be used daily on your skin, and other products should be used as recommended on the packaging.

CBD concentrate and CBD extract are used to enrich skincare formulas and help your skin stay hydrated, young-looking, and clean.

CBD benefits in skincare

CBD health benefits in skincare are enormous. CBD promotes healthy skin, fights acne, brings anti-aging properties to the skin, and helps the skin stay hydrated.

Benefits of CBD oil in skincare as well as any other form of CBD are found in its strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. As an antioxidant, CBD fights free radicals and thus prevent wrinkles and fine lines.

CBD has also proven to be effective in calming down inflammation and irritation, as well as calming acne breakouts. The reason behind CBD’s ability to fight acne is that it reduces the production of sebum. Sebum is an oily substance that is produced in sebaceous glands. It can cause acne if the glands are over-stimulated and over-produce the sebum. By reducing sebum production, you can reduce the chances of being affected by acne.

CBD anti-aging skincare

CBD is rich in antioxidant rejuvenating properties. Some studies have proven it to be an even more powerful antioxidant than vitamin C and E.

For the firmness and elasticity of the skin, we must thank collagen. Collagen is a protein found in the skin and other connecting tissues that keeps the skin elastic and firm. As we age, the production of collagen lowers and weakness, which makes our skin start to show signs of aging. These signs come in the forms of wrinkles and fine lines because our skin has lost its elasticity and ability to stay firmly in place.

As we age, we are experiencing more free radicals (unpaired electrons) that damage cells whilst searching for other electrons to be paired with. This damage causes collagen to break down faster which then causes wrinkles.

Antioxidants neutralize free radicals by giving them their electrons to pair up with. This helps protect the cells and other molecules, as well as prevent wrinkles and signs of aging.

CBD hydrating skincare

Cannabidiol skincare for hydration is also based on CBD’s antioxidant properties. Collagen also prevents excess water loss in the skin which further contributes to a fresh and clean appearance.

Dehydrated skin is often connected with reduced collagen production, so protecting collagen helps the skin stay hydrated.

CBD relief skincare

Cannabidiol skincare for relief is based on CBD’s anti-inflammatory agents. Skin that is prone to inflammation, redness, and itching can find its relief in CBD.

Skin sensitive to environmental factors often suffers from different inflammatory breakouts that can cause problems, hurt, and itch.

Two conditions that fall into this categorization are psoriasis and eczema. Both diseases are uncomfortable, hurting, and strongly affect the lives of those who suffer from them.

In some cases, CBD was proven to help calm down symptoms of both psoriasis and eczema, relieving the pain, itch, or uncomfortable feeling.

Cannabidiol skincare for relief is extremely powerful when it comes to inflammation, so don’t hesitate to try it!

How we use CBD at SKINEEZ

We use all our skincare essentials through our special formula. We are constantly exploring new ingredients and skincare agents so we can make our formula even better. CBD is the newest addition to our formula, and it now takes an important spot in it.

We are the first and the ONLY compression garment company that infuses ALL their clothes with this skincare formula.

People who are prescribed compression garments by their doctor, or who suffer from varicose veins or other issues that can be treated with compression, must wear compression often. From our CEO’s experience, compression garments can be extremely uncomfortable to wear. Materials they are made from can often be too rough or close our skin entirely enabling it to breathe.

That is what inspired our CEO to create comfortable, skin-healthy compression garments. Now, our garments not only prevents skin problems but also benefit the skin the same way creams and moisturizers do.

We use microencapsulation technology that delivers all these amazing skin benefits through clothes. Once they wear off (after approx..10 washing cycles), all you have to do is re-infuse them with our formula that we pre-packed for you in a 10. oz bottle.

See more about our skincare formula here and find your bottle here.
