Skineez® Celebrates National Women Physicians Day

by Elyssa Conley

February 3 is National Women Physicians Day. The date was chosen because it is the birthday of Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell. Dr. Blackwell was the first woman to receive a degree in medicine back in 1849. The holiday has been observed annually since 2016.

National Women Physicians Day recognizes the progress made by female physicians over the years. However, women in medicine still earn 8% less than men, most still experience discrimination, and 1/3 of women doctors report an incident of sexual harassment. Work still needs to be done.

As a Woman-Owned Business, Skineez® is aware of and supportive of women's challenges. We encourage all women to be more in your skin and be more of whatever makes you unique.

Skineez® compression socks help support you. Support socks relieve tired, achy feet, prevent edema, boost your circulations to give you more energy, and prevent varicose veins, helping you keep up with your fast-paced lifestyle without your legs paying the price.

Skineez® compression is infused with moisturizers, including Retinol, to protect your skin. The micro-massaging fabric is incredibly soft and supple, making them much easier to put on than ordinary compression socks. Honor National Women Physicians Day by being more courageous in your skin. Don't forget to thank a female doctor you know and post on social media #NationalWomenPhysiciansDay or #WomenPhysiciansDay.
